Water is essential to all forms of life. It of course allows for drinking it but along with that it also allows us to plant crops, giving us food. Water also helps keep organisms hydrated.

Fun fact: Humans can actually survive a few weeks without food, but we need to drink lots of water if so, Water is like food but instead of giving us energy like food does, it fills us up and keeps us from being dehydrated.
