Explain how the positions of the Earth, Moon, and Sun vary during a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse.

The moon covers the sun, during this the earth on which it happpens, the earth is shadowing, untill it is over.

When the Moon passes between Sun and Earth, the lunar shadow is seen as a solar eclipse on Earth. When Earth passes directly between Sun and Moon, its shadow creates a lunar eclipse. ...
