Pyramid of number is different from a pyramid of energy because the pyramid of number depicts the relationship among the living organisms in an ecosystem in form of number of producers, herbivores and carnivores that are present at each trophic level while the pyramid of energy describes the overall nature of the ecosystem, it describes the flow of energy from the sun to the living organisms in the ecosystem.
