A(-2, 2), B(4, 2), C(-6, -1), D(0, -1)

AB = CD = 4 - (-2) = 4 + 2 = 6

BD = AC. Use the formula of a distance between two points:

[tex]d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}[/tex]

Substitute the coordinates of the points B and D:

[tex]d=\sqrt{(-1-2)62+(0-4)^2}=\sqrt{(-3)^2+(-4)^2}=\sqrt{9+16}=\sqrt{25}=5[/tex]

BD = AC = 5

The perimeter of parallelogram ABCD:

P = 2 · 6 + 2 · 5 = 12 + 10 = 22
