I don't know how to subtract intgers can someone help like. 5-(-8)

Its 13, because you multiply -8 and the negative beside it which turns it into a positive so you add 8 and 5

13 because when you subtract a negative it makes it positive and you would go 5-(-8) = 5+(+8) just make the negatives into positives when the negatives are right next to each other.
