"The American flag is important because the stars stand for the states of the United States, and the 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies that came together to oppose the British. The American flag I'd a statement of freedom from British rule, and it is a symbol of American values."

It shows all 50 stars represented as 50 states untied. It also represents the fact that Americans fought through war with that flag waving and thousands of died while that flag still stood there.
