Use absolute value to express the distance between -12 and -15 using a number line

In a "1-by-1" the numbers -12 and -15 would be 2 spaces apart. One containing the number -13, and the other one containing the number -14.

So, there are 2 spaces on a 1-by-1 scale meaning that if you do the maths, and if you think drawing this scale, that is what you'll get.
