a catalyst is a  substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction but is not consumed by the reaction. Enyzymes are Biological catalysts that increase the rate of a chemical reaction but is not consumed by the reaction. There are variosu types of enzymes depending on the reaction process. Usually enzymes are named after the reaction they catalyzed.
